CALM MORNINGS

The bedroom is where the day starts. It is important to create a calm atmosphere, that way it will make it easier to get a good night sleep and wake up calm. I made a calm bedroom by going with these colors.

The walls are mostly white but with one wall in dusty green.
White furniture and white fabrics on the bed with pillows in white and grey shades. All together to make a light and cozy atmosphere.

Details next. I use mostly black items just to make contrasts to the white walls and furniture. It can be things like lamps, frames, candle holders, figures, vases etc.
Plants are important too, they clear the air while you are gone. Isn’t that just awesome! And they look pretty too. WIN-WIN!

Clothing can be decorating to in a bedroom, like on a rail, where you can show your new or favorite clothing, or on a handle like me ( i don’t have room for a rail)

There are really no rules for bedroom decor, only that you feel comfortable and calm in the room. We spend a third of our lifetime in bed, so the bedroom needs to be a great room to be in. With no disturbing elements.

DECORATE WITH AUTUMN COLORS – A SIMPLE TIP WITH NO BUDGET

These days I’m bringing nature inside. A good and fun way to decorate in autumn is to take a trip outside and gather a lot of different leaves, straws, and flowers like I have done here.  And the best of all, it’s for free 🙂

And if you add some fruit in a bow and a sheepskin in your favorite chair, you complete the autumn feeling indoors I think. With this tip you can easily change the look in your home in no time but beware, you may get addicted 😉

For a long time I have been looking for a sheepskin before winter sets in. I have been searching for the perfect one-and I have found it. It is from Iceland and a bit fluffy, just the way wanted it to be. And of course, in black and grey shades.

When I buy something I want it to last, so this one is not a sheepskin on budget. This will keep me warm true the winter and that’s way I think it’s worth it. Do you have any sheepskin in your home?

I`m planning to paint some of the walls in our living room. But I have not decided color yet. I’m thinking of beige, or a color with a hint of yellow. The problem is which one to choose?
I think I need some help so If you have any tip for me I would be so happy to hear about it!

I think these straws will stand forever, or at least as long as I want. Straws are something everyone can get, also if you don`t have a garden to pick in. Just go for a walk, I guess you will be surprised by all the beauty you will see and find!

Wishing you all a wonderful October month. I`m taking some days off to spend time with my family in the beautiful city Trondheim. Maybe there will be some treasure hunting (means: taking picture of nature and street life, my favorite hobby after running in nature ;)) I`m so inspired by everything nature offers in every way! And October is like September a month to be creative.

Again, a good October to all of you<3
