17 may, Inspiration for the table decor

Time Reading: 2 Minutes

In collaboration with the TILBORDS I styled the May 17 table in red, white, blue and a touch of gold and green for a springy, fresh feel.

When I'm covering tables for a party, party, or just a cozy date here at home, I usually don't think on rules or that the table must have a perfect match and composition.

Generally in styling and table covering I like it a bit random and find it more exciting and vibrant without too much over-thinking on matching. For our national day, I also think that you do not have to save on the decor and details. Tap into fresh colors, flowers, flags, candles and fine details for guests to arrive in party mood!

This table is also put together a bit randomly with various series and parts of Royal Copenhagen, among others
it's Blue Mega Rifled service, a modern interpretation of beautiful traditional tableware.

The crockery is available with and without a pattern, and I have mixed the two layers so that it does not feel too heavy with everything
pattern. At the top, I used the delicious champagne glasses Happy from Magnor Glassverk in
blue and gold to freshen it all up.

The glass gives a lovely color and shine to the table cover I think.

May 17 is the children's day and the big ice cream day, and this day my two little ones get so many
ice cream they just want. It was great to use ice cream biscuits for the May 17 table here, a fun detail for the kids.

I bought one of my favorite flowers, Anemone for the table cover and put some in the biscuits for a charming twist.

How would you describe your home now apart from the Nordic/Scandinavian influence?

Its functional with an open space for social settings. My home is Scandinavian inspired with a twist of new and old things. I like to mix structure, geometry and untraditional combinations to make it look interesting.

What you love about Nordic/Scandinavian design?

Its modern and clean, but also versatile for everyone to make their own twist on it. You can get a feeling of who lives in the home.
